My Philosophy – Any pain or discomfort in the body can have a relationship with our mental/emotional aspect. Massage should not hurt the client. Any pain or discomfort should be regarded as a warning signal that either the pressure applied is too great for the sensitivity of the receiver or there is a more specific reason for the pain and this should be investigated.
We believe in the self care of clients, which means that the way to benefit most from your massage session is to help release certain tensions in your body. This can be as simple as gentle stretching techniques and above all else BREATHING! Deep breathing is a great way to start your day. It helps increase oxygen supply to all muscles and organs and throughout the day it relaxes the mind. Try it!
If you have never experienced a massage you may feel very nervous. We believe in making the client feel as comfortable as possible and the massage can be stopped at any time if the client does not feel well or is uncomfortable in any way with the session.
